Positive Christian Affirmations and Trusting God

World Peace Telesummit With Nancy Strong

World Peace Telesummit host Elaine Christine interviewed author and speaker Nancy Strong as a special guest to make a difference for world peace through education and awareness of a six-step Peace Process. Two years after surviving a near-death experience, Nancy had a dream she was an author, and the manuscript came through in subsequent dreams. Her book, Positive Christian Affirmations and Trusting God: One Year Journal & Devotional, is published by St. Paul’s Press and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Nancy shared her near-death experience after a pulmonary embolism in 2002. “My situation was so unique. One doctor walked in and looked at my chart. He said, ‘Good morning, Mrs. Strong. How are you today?’ I said, ‘You were the doctor that saved my life.’ He said, ‘How do you know that?’ I said, ‘I heard your voice on the telephone.’ He said, ‘Oh, my goodness.’ And then he sat down on my bed and said, ‘All right, I want to hear the whole story.’ The doctor had a similar situation once before, and the patient lived, so that made me realize I was going to live, even though I had been told to make final arrangements, that I wouldn’t live through the night.”

Nancy explained, “Two years later, My daughter-in-law Ronda had given me a dream journal that she had purchased for me at the Christian bookstore. I hadn’t been sleeping well, so she thought the dream journal might help. When I read the book and started doing the process to put pen and paper on the nightstand and write a few words about what the dream was about, which would bring back the memory of the dream, the first dream was that I was an author. Every night I would go to bed with that paper because I wanted to know what my dreams were.”

Nancy continued, “At some point, it gave me the title of the book. Then it gave me that it was a journal and devotional. It’s a marvel to me even today to think that that is how this came about. Once in a while, I put paper on my nightstand to ask questions about what is supposed to happen in my life today, or how I am supposed to change my life. I’ll ask any kind of question at night before I go to bed after saying my prayers, and it always gives me an answer.”

Elaine asked Nancy what world peace would look like if we had it now. She replied, “The world would look like heaven if we had it now. If you can envision no more wars, if you can envision people getting along in countries, Jerusalem, everywhere, that would be my idea. I’m looking out right now on a golf course; think about how wonderful that looks with ponds and sand traps and trees and lovely green, lush ground. That is what I envision for the whole world.”

Elaine invited Nancy to recommend a plan for peace. She offered, “I oftentimes read the Bible until I am sleepy, which might be ten minutes, fifteen, or thirty. It seems like all of the answers are in the Bible for me. I would wish that for everybody. The Bible is a living book to me. I can read something one time one year and then go back another time, and it relates to that particular day I am reading it.”

When asked to speak about her take-away from the six-step Peace Process, Nancy said, “I am looking out on a sunny day, and the fact that peace and love and joy could be throughout the world just makes me feel wonderful inside. The process is here for people if they will plug into it. I don’t care if they are in prisons or in the hospital or wherever you are. If you can get this message across, Christine, I applaud you for that. Thank you for asking me to be a little part of that. I appreciate it.”

Elaine concluded, “Thank you, Nancy. I am so happy you are my friend, and I am so proud of your book. I know it is going to bring more people inner peace. I want to encourage everybody to get your copy of Nancy’s book, Positive Christian Affirmations and Trusting God: One Year Journal & Devotional available on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. It can change your life!”
